Seminar Overview

ETS Build is the manufacturing intelligence platform: a single browser workspace that takes a plastic part from parametric design through simulation, material selection, DFM scoring, and production documentation. This two-day workshop is the power-user course — every major capability worked hands-on on real parts.

Day one builds competence in the design and analysis core: the parametric Design Studio (snap-fits, press-fits, living hinges, fasteners, gears, bearings), the generative optimizer that produces and ranks candidate geometries, and the eight-step guided FEA flow from mesh to pass/fail verdict with 3D stress review.

Day two covers materials and manufacturing: the Material Lab's seven analysis modes and AI recommendations from the 10,000+ grade database, process-specific DFM/DFA rule checking, the 18-defect troubleshooting matrix, the compliance dashboard (ISO 9001, FDA 21 CFR 820, ITAR, RoHS, REACH, IATF 16949, AS9100D), and PLM — structure trees, revisions, ECOs, and supplier quoting.

Ideal Learner

  • Product and process engineers designing injection-molded parts
  • CAE and simulation engineers adopting guided, browser-based FEA
  • Manufacturing and quality engineers owning DFM, PPAP, and compliance
  • Suppliers and molders quoting, troubleshooting, and documenting parts
  • Teams consolidating scattered point tools into one governed workspace

Learning Objectives

  • Model parametric plastic features and assemblies in the Design Studio
  • Run generative optimization and interpret ranked candidate geometries
  • Complete the eight-step guided FEA workflow and read the verdict correctly
  • Use the Material Lab's seven modes and AI material recommendations
  • Score parts with DFM/DFA and troubleshoot with the 18-defect matrix
  • Drive the compliance dashboard and PLM flow from part to production

Consulting Sessions

Seminar attendees can sign up for individual consulting sessions with the instructor. Sessions are free for registered attendees, first-come first-served — sign up when registering by calling 248-539-0473 or during the seminar.
