Seminar Overview
When an EV or ADAS-equipped vehicle fails — in operation, in a fire, or in a crash — the investigation spans hardware, software, and vehicle dynamics. This seminar teaches the engineering investigation of EV and ADAS failures from the forensics practitioner's standpoint: data extraction, event reconstruction, thermal event investigation, software/controls behavior, and the liability-relevant findings that survive scrutiny. It is the specialist complement that turns ETS's failure-analysis depth toward the electrified, automated fleet.
Ideal Learner
- Failure-analysis and forensic engineers entering EV/ADAS
- Vehicle dynamics and crash investigators
- Battery and thermal-event investigators
- Product-safety and liability engineers
- Legal and insurance professionals supporting EV/ADAS claims
Learning Objectives
- Extract and interpret EV/ADAS event data (EDR, telematics, logs)
- Reconstruct EV crashes including thermal events and pre-crash behavior
- Investigate battery thermal events and their propagation
- Analyze ADAS/software contribution to an incident
- Build a defensible EV/ADAS failure finding
Consulting Sessions
Seminar attendees can sign up for individual consulting sessions with the instructor. Sessions are free for registered attendees, first-come first-served — sign up when registering by calling 248-539-0473 or during the seminar.
